Tassie's Top Tourism Towns

Tassie's Top Tourism Towns have been announced. A big thank you to all of the towns who entered and everyone who cast their vote. Looking for some travel inspiration? Check out the entries from each town below.

National winners

Congratulations to Stanley and New Norfolk for being awarded bronze in the inaugural Search for Australia’s Top Tourism Towns.

Stanley won Bronze in the Small Top Tourism Town with a population less than 5,000, and New Norfolk also won Bronze in the Top Tourism Town with a population more than 5,000.

Winners announced

We partnered with the Tourism Industry Council of Tasmania to find this year's Tassie's Top Tourism Towns.

A big thanks to everyone who had their say. After thousands of votes, we're excited to announce the winners for 2021 are:

  • New Norfolk - RACT Small Tourism Town Award, population over 5000

  • Stanley - Spirit of Tasmania Top Town Award, population under 5000

New Norfolk and Stanley will now represent Tasmania in the national awards, with winners to be announced in Canberra later this year. 

A big congratulations also goes out to our runners up St Helens and Richmond
